...a little rain must fall

We arrived as the rainy season ended and apparently avoided a stretch of pretty constant dreary weather. This afternoon, we got a very light shower which helped cool things off.

Spanish class is going well and I now am confident that I don't know the five different verb conjugations I have been working on. Can't wait to find out how many more conjugations I don't know!

Yesterday, I wrote about the Ayuntamiento. Today, I took some photos from the upstairs balcony which gives a different view of the city and park:

On the way to Spanish class this morning, we noticed something going on in the Park. It was a competition for waiters. Various restaurants had teams of waiters who ran through the streets of town carrying trays with drinks.

Also had to navigate through some road repairs:

Found another sirena who is a little more modest that than fountain ones:
Which is a good thing since she is in front of one of my favorite fountains in town:

The fountain and Sirena sign are located in a building on the west side of the Parque Central.

Went to the Post Office for the first time which is a change from previous trips but given that you are reading this, I am going to assume you understand why. The following pictures will give you an idea of how busy the Post Office was today:

And here is a close-up of the calendar on the wall above the PO Boxes:

  1. Glad someone's vision is so good and you are able to see all of the sirenas! However, I want you to spend some time working with the guys doing the street repairs so we can work on my driveway.

    Enjoy and see you soon,
    Robert
