We went to San Juan del Obispo today because we heard that they make chocolate there. And they do. However, they don't sell it there on Sunday because they are all in Antigua selling it in the Central Park. So we visited the San Juan del Obispo museum which is the house of Bishop Francisco Marroquin and dates to the 16th century and grew to include the cloister and church as well as his dwelling. Five nuns live there now and one gave us a tour.
(Our new recruit loves chicken buses.....)

We also watched a soccer game and the Sweet Girls dominated.

Here is the church in San Juan del Obispo.

Then we headed back to Antigua and saw this procession in the Central Park. (We also bought chocolate. It was indeed yummy!)

Finally, we saw this in San Juan and found it interesting. I am not sure it meets code but I am not an electrician so what do I know?

  1. They must have the same electrician that wired our apartment in Sicily.
