Enough with all the emails already!!!

So the other day when we talked about the church on the east side of the square and mentioned that we may explore the ruins in a later post, we had no idea of the insatiable curiosity of our readership and have been overwhelmed by the clamoring for an exploration of the ruins (don't you all have anything better to do?). So let's get this out of the way. If you walk around the right side of the church, you enter the ruins and there is a handy diagram showing the part of the church that is currently used (the shaded part) and the part that has not been restored.
and some nifty info in English:
and a drawing of what it may have looked like (no explanation so I am making a guess here, but given the location of the picture, I feel pretty confident):
Let's go look at the ruins:

Some of the pieces that haven't been put back (note some of them still have remnants of earlier painting):

There are a couple crypts you can go in (with some original tile) and whack your head on the way out when you stand up too soon:

And we're walking:

Oh yeah, this morning Most Senior member took New Recruit on a tour of a coffee plantation which they said was very interesting but are reticent to write about so let me summarize by paraphrasing their report: We went to a coffee plantation. Fifth generation running it. They grow coffee. We walked on coffee. They roast coffee. They sell coffee to Starbucks. We bought coffee. They had a cool safe.

Here are some pictures:

Back in Antigua the New Recruit got to see Fuego erupt and was suitably impressed.
